Universal health coverage (UHC) means that all people receive the health services they need without suffering financial hardship when paying for them. This involves financial risk pooling initiatives like the Community Based Social Health Insurance Program (CBSHIP). The people of Ilaje in Ondo state are about to experience UHC and all the benefits therein including improved health outcomes. This is as a result of collaboration between Equitable Health Access Initiative (EHAI) and the Abayomi Babatunde Akinruntan (ABA) Foundation Ilaje in the implementation of CBSHIP for the Ilaje people.
