[/fusion_title][fusion_text]

In building healthy working relationships and strengthening partnerships for greater achievements, fora for dialogues and consultations, pooling of ideas and consensus building is absolutely mandatory. This called for a meeting between the EHAI management and key stakeholders in the implementation of the ACTION PlusUP project. These include the leadership of the 48 supported facilities from the supported states (MD/CMDs and Project Coordinators), Project Managers of the various State Agencies for the control of AIDS (SACA), State Ministry of Health (SMOH) officials working on the HIV program (Directors of Disease Control and State AIDS Program Coordinator) and the State Hospital Management Board (HMB). This meeting which held in both Ondo and Ekiti states on the 11th and 13th of June 2013 respectively afforded the EHAI management an opportunity to have a one on one contact with these key players on the program, jointly addressing tabled issues. An opportunity was also provided to further enlighten them on EHAI as an organisation, its activities and the ACTION PlusUP project: its goals, objectives and expected outcome. The main objectives of the meeting as clearly spelt out are:

To review progress made to date on the project

[/fusion_li_item][fusion_li_item icon=””]

To identify and collectively address emerging issues affecting the project at the site level

The meeting experienced a highly impressive turnout of the expected participants. Featured were several presentations by the members of the EHAI management team led by the CEO, Dr Timothy Akinmurele. These presentations bordered on the key program/thematic areas, their goals and objectives, expected outcomes and financial matters. A review of all programmatic achievements so far per site was done. As a result of this, the sites had a clear picture of all their achievements since the inception of the program. Those with exceptional performances were commended, while those that performed less, were encouraged to do better, sharing best practices and exemplary strategies for improved performance. Highlights of the meeting include clearly spelt out action plans based on recommendations and lessons learnt.
