Purpose of the Position:
To support the rapid scale-up of tuberculosis (TB) case detection, diagnosis, and treatment in EHAI-supported Local Government Areas (LGAs) across Lagos and Ogun States through effective supervision, mentoring, data management, and program coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight and mentorship to Field Coordinators and Screening Officers across 10 supported LGAs in Lagos State and 2 LGAs in Ogun State.
- Collect, verify, and collate project data generated from community TB screening and linkage activities.
- Facilitate timely transportation of sputum samples from presumptive TB clients to diagnostic laboratories and ensure prompt retrieval of results.
- Mentor Screening Officers, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), and Community Volunteers Coordinators (CVCs) to ensure high-quality project implementation and adherence to protocols.
- Supervise the linkage of Positive TB clients to Directly Observed Treatment (DOT) centers for proper registration and follow-up.
- Provide continuous mentorship on appropriate specimen collection and testing using TrueLAMP and GeneXpert.
- Support CBOs/CVCs in linking clients unable to produce sputum to chest X-ray diagnostic services.
- Ensure all diagnosed TB patients are promptly initiated on treatment and accurately documented in the treatment register.
- Review TB screening registers at health facilities for accuracy, completeness, and proper page summaries.
- Facilitate Community Childhood TB Case Finding
- Facilitate contact tracing for bacteriologically confirmed (index) TB patients to expand case finding.
- Support CBOs/CVCs in the submission of accurate weekly data to EHAI.
- Conduct monthly Supportive Supervision Visits (SSVs) to all CBOs/CVCs and submit completed SSV checklists within 72 hours of each visit.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive monthly and quarterly program performance reports.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
- BSc. in any health-related field.
- Fluent English
