SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

Our Organization, Equitable Health Access Initiative (EHAI), is an indigenous tech-driven NGO with over a decade of experience in the implementation of transformational health intervention projects in 14 States across the Southern and Northern Regions of Nigeria. We are fully committed to positively impacting humanity through research, training, and implementation of innovative public health projects aimed at strengthening the health system for the control of Infectious and non-communicable diseases of public health importance. We also support sustainable financing for Universal Health Coverage (UHC), especially for the informal sector and marginalized populations.

WORK HOURS:     8:00 am to 5.00 pm daily (Monday to Thursday) and 8:00 am to 2:00 pm (Fridays)
REPORTS TO:        Chief Executive Officer

LOCATION:            Lagos, Nigeria.

 

OVERALL JOB PURPOSE: The Head of Administration and Human Resources plays a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic planning, development, and execution of Administrative and Human Resources functions within the organization. S/he is responsible for optimizing organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and operational efficiency through proficient administration and effective human resource management while overseeing aspects of

 IT Unit, Procurement and Transportation.

 

MAIN TASK:

  1. Strategic Planning and Leadership:
    • Develop and execute strategic plans aligning with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Provide visionary leadership to the administration and HR teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and performance excellence.
  1. Administration Management:
    • Oversee administrative operations, including facilities management, office infrastructure, and resource allocation.
    • Implement efficient processes and systems to enhance productivity and optimize organizational resources.
  1. Human Resource Management:
    • Lead the HR function, including recruitment, talent management, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, promoting a fair and inclusive work environment.
  1. Employee Development and Engagement:
    • Drive employee engagement initiatives to enhance job satisfaction, motivation, and productivity.
    • Facilitate training and development programs to nurture talent and promote a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  1. Policy Development and Compliance:
    • Develop and update Admin and HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legal requirements and industry best practices.
    • Monitor compliance and recommend necessary adjustments to policies to mitigate risks and maintain a high standard of ethical conduct.
  1. Conflict Resolution and Employee Welfare:
    • Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances fairly and impartially, promoting a positive work environment.
    • Oversee employee welfare programs and initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and well-being.
  1. Information technology:
  • provide effective oversight and support to the IT unit, ensuring smooth operations, adherence to best practices, and successful achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
  1. Procurement:
  • provide effective oversight and support to the procurement unit, ensuring efficient procurement processes, adherence to procurement policies, and achievement of departmental and organizational procurement goals.
  1. Transport:
  • provide effective oversight and support to the transport unit, ensuring seamless operations, adherence to safety regulations, and achievement of departmental and organizational goals.

 

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent leadership and managerial abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, decision-making skills, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on business acumen and results-driven approaches.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align HR objectives with EHAI’s objectives.

 

 QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS   

  • Master’s degree in MBA or related field is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws and regulations.
  • Member of CIPM is mandatory.
  • 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in administration and human resource management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
