In an effort to ensure the success and effectiveness of the new GHIG 8 project set to commence in Kwara State, our CEO, alongside other dedicated staff members, recently held a crucial stakeholders engagement meeting with the Kwara State Primary Healthcare (PHC) Board. The primary goal of this meeting was to gather valuable input from key stakeholders to inform the design of our APP solution.
The meeting saw participation from a wide range of stakeholders, including immunization officers and representatives from prominent partners such as WHO, UNICEF, and AFENET. Their collective expertise and insights were instrumental in refining our approach. They provided invaluable feedback on the proposed solution, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting necessary corrections.
This collaborative effort underscores our commitment to creating a user-centric APP solution that effectively addresses the unique needs of the Kwara State healthcare system. We believe that integrating diverse perspectives from stakeholders will enhance the functionality and impact of our project, ultimately contributing to better healthcare outcomes for the communities we serve.
Digitalization of the Immunization Register
The EHAI team will coordinate the digitalization of the immunization register, which involves developing, installing, and deploying a web and mobile application. This free and open-sourced tool will feature an Electronic Immunization Register (EIR) that allows history migration from the National Immunization Register (NIR), an ANC interface with contact details of pregnant women and their Expected Delivery Dates (EDD), and a dashboard displaying immunization indicators.
The application will include a tracker that automatically generates a line list of children due for immunization one week before their appointment and sends it to healthcare workers via email. It will also send auto SMS reminders to caregivers and fathers one week before the next immunization appointment and generate a line list of all defaulters. All defaulters will be automatically rescheduled.
We are committed to transforming Nigeria’s healthcare system through technology and collaboration. Our dedication to leveraging innovative solutions and fostering partnerships remains at the forefront of our mission to improve health outcomes across the nation.
