EHAI recently convened a high-level advocacy meeting in Ilorin to discuss the digitization of the routine immunization process in Ilorin East LGA, Kwara State. The meeting brought together policymakers and stakeholders to provide detailed information about the project, gather input, and advocate for support to ensure its success.
In attendance among others was Dr. Nusirat Elelu, Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KWPHCDA), who welcomed attendees with an address that underscored her excitement about the project and its potential impact on improving routine immunization in the region.
Dr. Amina El-Imam, representing the Hon. Commissioner of the Kwara State Ministry of Health, expressed the state government’s full support for the initiative and its willingness to partner with EHAI for the project’s success. During the meeting, representatives from various organizations, including AFENET, UNICEF, SYDANI, WHO, and NPHCDA, delivered goodwill messages. They collectively emphasized the importance of digitization in enhancing immunization efforts and expressed their commitment to supporting the project.
Dr. Timothy Akinmurele, the CEO of EHAI Nigeria provided an in-depth presentation on the project’s goals, implementation strategy, expected outcomes, technical aspects, timeline, and stakeholder roles. The meeting concluded with a shared understanding of the project’s significance and a unified commitment to ensuring its successful execution in Ilorin East LGA.
